Where’s My Water? – Review

I’m a fan of puzzle games. I have always loved games purely based on physics puzzles. Where’s My Water is one of those games that tickle your brain. I love the game for it’s cute storyline and theme.
Where is my water? is a fun game that is based on the story of a crocodile, known as “Swampy” and his habit of bathing. Swampy lives in the sewers and loves to keep himself clean. Therefore, you will always find him in his bathroom taking showers. But other Crocodiles are not so clean-minded like him so they have destroyed the pipelines of the sewers. Swampy is not able to take a bath until you help him get the water. Your goal is to guide the water to his bathroom, so he can enjoy steamy hot bath.

Gameplay

The gameplay is fairly simple. All you have to do is take the water through the soil to the pipeline that connects to Swampy’s shower. You will notice that the water physics is similar to real life. Water will splash around the screen while you take it through the obstacles. You will find the first 30-40 levels pretty simple and easier to complete. The real complex puzzles start from Level 50 and onwards, you will have to think quickly and make fast moves to complete those levels.
With new levels you will also encounter new obstacles. You have to either get rid of these obstacles or just ignore them. There are different obstacles that will make your life pretty difficult, like the green algae, it will grow and block your water if it comes in contact with the water, purple acid will mix with your water and transform it to acid as well and the green acid will destroy everything [even the soil!]. So, you have to act quickly in order to either avoid these obstacles or carefully get rid of them.
You can unlock different levels and worlds by collecting given amount of Rubber Ducks for each world. 3 rubber ducks are available on each level, don’t let the acids destroy those ducks and collect them before it. You can also find many hidden items on different levels and unlock many achievements. You can share your score online with players from all around the globe. The game also lets you share your score with your Facebook friends or/and you can tweet it.
Try to act as fast as possible on each level because your score is based on the time taken to complete each level, the flow of water and number of ducks collected. Try to collect all three ducks at each level because that is how you will unlock new worlds and play more levels. You can enjoy 140 different levels with 7 different worlds. It will keep you hooked for a long time.

Controls

This game has simple controls like most of the games out there. All you have to do is flick your finger through the screen to guide the water. You can also use two fingers to make two passages for the water [You will encounter this on a few levels]. The game has the best responsive controls like other popular games e.g Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds etc. You will have no problems with the controls at all. The controls are suitable for children as well.

Graphics

The graphics in this game look very beautiful. Nice animations with vibrant colors create a very rich visual experience. You will love the looks of this game. Everything has been brilliantly done when it comes to the colors and animations of the game. You will find vibrant colors, cute graphics, and smooth animations in the game. The water has life-like feel and looks. Swampy also has some very cute animations. You can watch Swampy perform different animations by tapping on him during a level.

Sounds

No game is complete without decent music and sounds effects. Where’s my water? does pretty good in the audio department as well. The game has a nice cartoon theme music in the background. Swampy himself has some decent sound effects. Splashing water, burning acid and Swampy’s shower, all sound effects have been done professionally. [That is what I love about Disney!]

Verdict

All in all Where’s my water? is a fun game for both casual gamers and puzzle lovers. If you want to try out something different than other popular games than this game is perfect for you. You can try out the Free version before purchasing the full version to check if this game suits your style or not.
