How Far Would You Go For A Free Ultrabook? [Videos]
What would you do for a free Ultrabook? Intel shows us just how far would people go with a new video series called “Ultrabook Temptations”.
The series is made up of six videos, each showing a social experiment and the quirky things people would do for a free Ultrabook.
If you happen to not be aware of what an Ultrabook is, it is a classification inspired by Intel which basically is touted as the next generation of laptops. These are competitors to the popular MacBook Air from Apple, albeit running on Windows.
Ultrabook laptops are svelte but powerful and offer long battery lives. Think of it as your netbook only with better processors and GPUs in a sleek form-factor.
Intel says that Ultrabook models from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, Samsung and Toshiba are now already available and that by the end of the year, Ultrabook laptops should be “mainstream”. By that time, Intel reckons there would be more than 75 models of Ultrabooks to choose from.
“ Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes product stories are best told through the eyes of our prospective consumers. We hope that seeing the videos will stir up enough interest to go look for Ultrabooks at your nearest computer store,” Jayant Murty, Intel’s Asia Pacific director of brand strategy and integrated marketing, said in a statement.
The series of social tests were done by Intel in Australia, Indonesia and Thailand and make for an entertaining time. I’m not going to spoil the fun so check them out for yourself below.
