Makanim Review – Particle Generator For Fun

Want to have some fun with engaging and beautiful visual arts entertainment? You may want to take a look at Makanim, by Appakabar. While it’s certainly true that you can many of its kind on the AppStore, Makanim still offers lots of nice and unique features which will keep you entertained with its great particle effect generator.

For those who are not familiar with this types of apps, let me help to summarize it. Basically, you can use them to generate beautiful visual effects by simply touching and dragging your fingers across the screen. Most of them come with many preloaded effect templates and styles, and most are of course customizable. Then, when you are done with your creation, you can capture it as an image, and share it to others. It’s solely for entertainment purposes.

Makanim comes with a plethora of basic templates and options to play with. The first one is the shape option. There are many shapes provided, from snow flakes, hearts, arrows, and many others. This option defines the form of each of the particles emitted. Anyway, you can see a preview for each shapes in the home screen of the app in case you are wondering how they look like. Next, you can also adjust the starting color and ending color for each of them. Some of them aren’t just a single plain color, but rather a set of colors. The starting color option is used when the particle has just been created, while the ending one will be used the moment before it disappear.

You may also want to adjust the size and the speed of all the particles. Last but no least, there is a special option called “Chaos”, which, as suggested by the name, will determine how “chaos” your screen will be with all the particles flying across the screen. Oh yes, this app also supports HDMI output.
