List of Samsung Devices to receive Android ICS update
OK, now as the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS is out, you are probably wondering whether it will be available for your device or not. Well, I am not sure about all of you but Samsung Owners can rejoice as we have got a list of Samsung devices that are going to run the Latest Android ICS. [This news and list is not official though, Samsung Korea hasn’t confirmed it yet and we are still waiting for a confirmation]Well the list only consists few devices but you know, Something is definitely better than nothing. We have Samsung Galaxy S2 on top of the list because of its more than enough power and specs to run the Android ICS without any hassle, and to be honest it truly deserves the update. Also the whole line-up of Samsung’s next-gen Tabs will be running the ICS too. Below is the complete list of devices that will soon be upgraded to run the ICS.

Dilawer, when will ICS probably be released for the devices mentioned above? Just got a 10.1 and I’m waiting for ICS on it. It shipped with 3.1.
I am not sure, but if the above report is true then you’ll probably see updates rolling in within 1-2 months.
Or you can Root it
So no Galaxy S? Frick!
Well, as of now there is no Galaxy S or Nexus S, Imho both of these devices deserve the ICS update.
I’ll probably root it.
I just have to learn a bit more before doing that so I won’t mess it up.
YEah! Awesome, Go for it…. You can find Rooting-for-dummies tutorials online just google it.
I <3 Rooting
The Nexus S is a Google ‘reference’ phone and must surely get the ICS update. In fact, Google have confirmed as much (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/google/8848669/Android-upgrade-for-Google-Nexus-S-in-weeks.html) so looks like this list may be a bit behind the times
Thank you for the update my friend. The list is now updated and Google Nexus S is on it…still it lacks Galaxy S…what do you think? shouldn’t Galaxy S be getting the update too?
Samsung is always behind on these Android updates, especially with the Samsung Galaxy S (currently own). It took them forever for the Android update and went it finally went through it was a disaster. This is why I have been seriously debating about switching to iPhone4s. But I love that new Galaxy S2, just holding out for more information regarding the update.
Its terrible that Samsung does not have Galaxy 1 on list!
It is a real shock that Galaxy S is not on the list but I think that Samsung might change their minds and bring ICS to the Galaxy S…lets hope for the best.
what about galaxy s the first…
Still no words by Samsung on the Original Galaxy S. So I assume there will be no update for it.
But you can always root it
Can I root my galaxy y to ics .if yes, howo
There are still no ICS ports for Galaxy Y, But I’ve seen the ICS running on G1 [extremely Laggy though!]. So, I think that a port for Galaxy Y will be soon out and I will make sure to cover it.
hey, when should we expect the new Sandwich to run in the G1?(currently owning)
I don’t want to sound rude, but the HTC G1 is not capable of running the ICS. Therefore I seriously doubt any ICS update for the G1.
But there is a root for G1 that I’ve seen running ICS on it [Extremely laggy and unusable though!], Just google “ICS on G1″
