A few weeks ago the DiamPrice and My Jeweler apps were releases under appsplit.  The responses we’ve received since we started our work on the apps have been tremendous.  Here are a few highlights of what these apps can do but before we start a quick note on a frequently asked question:  ”what is the difference between My Jeweler and DiamPrice?”.  Quite simply My Jeweler does everything DiamPrice does but also adds Gold and Jewelry pricing.

Diamond Pricing Calculator

The main function and bread and butter of both My Jeweler and DiamPrice is obviously the diamond calculator, here you can enter the cut, color, clarity and weight of a stone and get the current market price.  You can also chose a discount to the calculated price.

The price of the diamond comes from 1 of 2 sources, you can either get an IDEX price or a Rapaport price although a valid RapNet account is required to use Rapaport pricing.

Both apps also allow you to chose which currency you prefer to work with, currency rates are updated in the app once a day or users can go to the settings screen and request a refresh of rates whenever needed.

From the calculator you can chose to save your diamond into your collection or if you want to price a piece of jewelry you can add the diamond to the piece.

My Jeweler Gold Calculator

The Gold screen (only available on My Jeweler) is capable of pricing gold using current rates.

Similar to the diamond calculator you can also chose a currency and store the gold to your collection or add it to a piece of jewelry.

Jewelry Pricing Calculator

The Jewelry screen (only available on My Jeweler) is where you can see the total price of your diamonds and gold added to a Jewel to create a piece of jewelry.  From here you can also store the piece of Jewelry into your collection.

Collection

The collection screen shows all of the diamonds stored and on My Jeweler you can also see all gold and jewelry stored.  A total price of your entire collection is also displayed on the screen.

In the collection screen you can also take a picture of each item and you can also email an item from this screen.

iPad

Finally another great feature of both My Jeweler and DiamPrice is the fact that they are universal and both work on the iPhone and iPad without the need for you to buy different versions of the app.
